Although California law generally doesn't address the maximum hours that an employee can work each week, the following three Wage Orders do limit employees' weekly work hours to no more than 72 hours of work per week:
The other Wage Orders don't contain limitations on working hours.
In addition, other laws place limits on hours of work for certain types of employees, such as minors, truck drivers and health care employees.
