An EEO-1 form is a report of an employer’s employees by sex and race/ethnic category for each of nine occupational categories.
All employers with 100 or more employees and all federal government contractors and subcontractors who have both a contract of $50,000, or more and 50 or more employees, are required to file the federal EEO-1 form.
All employers with 100 or more employees are also required to report pay data information to the California Civil Rights Department. The pay data report to the CRD is independent of the EEO-1 requirement and has slightly different informational requirements.
For more information, including specific reporting requirements, see EEO Reporting Requirements in the HR Library.
