Am I required to limit the use of an employee’s paid sick leave under California's paid sick leave law?

The state-mandated minimum amount of paid sick leave that an employer is required to provide to employees is 40 hours or five days, whichever was greater.

Nothing in the law would prevent you from providing more paid sick leave to your employees.

Legal counsel should review any changes that an employer might choose to make to an existing paid sick leave policy.
